The beautiful city of Boulder Colorado, which is located approximately 45 minutes Southwest of Fort Collins, and a half an hour Northwest of Denver, is a great place to make a home. Louisville isn't only a suburb to Boulder either. In actuality, a lot of residents of Boulder often make the trip to Louisville for the great amenities Louisville has, such as shopping at Costco or Target, a movie theater, or one of the charming small town diners.
About 20 minutes East of Boulder using South Boulder Road, Arapahoe Rd, or Baseline Rd -- is Lafayette, CO. Lafayette is one of the fastest growing Boulder County communities, with Indian Peaks being the largest part of that expansion. Lafayette CO real estate prices tend to be up to 35% less expensive than Boulder prices. Along with getting more house for the money, residents in Lafayette can enjoy the quality of a small town with benefits like charming antique shops, family owned businesses, access to I-25, and of course, the Indian Peaks Golf Course - which is one of the most beautiful public courses in the surrounding area.
Niwot Colorado is another city located close to Boulder. While Niwot is expanding and seeing more semi-custom and custom home development, it is primarily a bedroom community to Boulder. Niwot CO real estate for sale is rather limited, and the average price of a house will vary widely. Average prices are so erratic mostly due to the fact that at any time, there are probably only around fifty to seventy homes that are on the market.
